Our team comprises a range of qualified and experienced individuals, who all have a passion for making a difference. We are managed by a Board of Directors who are introduced to you below. However in addition to this we have a great number of valuable volunteers who support us on a daily basis, all of who we are incredibly proud of and grateful to for their continued support.
Faith has had a varied career including both Nursing and Education, however her true passion is baking which she has enjoyed from a young age. Faith loves working in the community and is always busy developing plans on how as a group we can improve the wellbeing of our service users.
Lyam has worked in Springbank since 2017 and before that completed a research project on the area whilst he was at University. Lyam is a professionally qualified Youth Worker and has been using the skills he has gained through his career to steer our volunteers and provide help and guidance to our service users.
Mollie is not only a Director but also works as one of our Youth Workers. Mollie works as a Teaching Assistant in a Special School in the county and she brings her skills and experience from this to her work with us. Mollie has worked in Springbank delivering Youth Work projects since 2017 and has worked in a variety of community projects that work specifically with young people for many years.
Colin is a local resident and has been involved in the community for many years. Colin joined us early in our journey and has been instrumental to our growth. Colin can regularly be found navigating the M5 to collect our food donations from Bristol. However when he isn't driving, Colin heads up our Health & Safety, Building Projects and Maintenance.
Marisa has supported our organisation since our beginning in March 2020 through her role as a Tesco Community Champion.
Marisa brings to the team a host of skills which she has gained from an extensive career of community work, both professionally and voluntary.
Ali has been volunteering with us in a variety of roles, both face to face with our service users and in the office since we began our Food Bank in March 2020.
Ali brings her 16 years experience working in education, as well as her time volunteering with the Girl Guiding movement to the team.
Phoebe has worked in and around the Springbank area for a number of years in a range of different roles working with young people and knows the area well.
Phoebe is a professionally qualified youth worker and works as a support worker at a residential college in the county. Phoebe brings her skills from her current and previous roles to Springbank, helping us to continually grow and develop.
