At Springbank Community Group CiC, our dedicated Board of Directors leads our mission to support and uplift the community. Each director brings a wealth of experience and a shared passion for making a positive impact.
Faith brings a wealth of experience from her diverse career in nursing and education, though her true passion has always been baking, a skill she has enjoyed and honed since childhood. Deeply committed to community work, Faith is constantly developing innovative ideas to enhance the well-being of the individuals and families supported by Springbank Community Group CiC.
In her role, Faith oversees the day-to-day operations of the organisation on behalf of the Board of Directors. She plays a pivotal role in ensuring a strong strategic connection between the community and the Board, fostering collaboration and aligning the group’s efforts to meet the evolving needs of those they serve.
Lyam has been actively involved in the Springbank community since 2017, having first engaged with the area during a university research project. As a professionally qualified Youth Worker, Lyam has applied his extensive skills and experience to support and guide our volunteers while providing valuable help and advice to our service users.
In his role, Lyam serves as both the Director of Youth Work and the Safeguarding Lead for Springbank Community Group CiC, ensuring the delivery of high-quality youth work and maintaining a safe and supportive environment for everyone involved.
Mollie serves as both a Director and our Youth Work Manager, bringing extensive experience and dedication to her role. She has been delivering youth work projects in Springbank since 2017 and has a strong background in working with young people through various community initiatives over the years.
As our Youth Work Manager, Mollie plays a key role in delivering a range of our projects and leads on SEN (Special Educational Needs) support within the organisation. She also facilitates a support group for parents of children with additional needs, offering guidance, connection, and understanding to families in our community. Her passion for creating inclusive and supportive environments continues to make a lasting impact on the lives of the young people and families we work with.
Colin, a long-time local resident, has been actively involved in the community for many years. He joined Springbank Community Group CiC early in its development and has played a crucial role in supporting our growth and success.
Colin takes the lead in managing our Health & Safety, overseeing Building Projects, and coordinating Maintenance. His expertise ensures that our spaces are not only safe and functional but also welcoming for all who use them. Colin is also a trusted advisor within the organisation, offering practical solutions to challenges and always working with a community-focused mindset. His hands-on approach and commitment to supporting both the group and the wider community make him an indispensable member of our team.
Marisa has been a valued supporter of our organisation since its inception in March 2020, contributing her expertise and passion through her role as a Tesco Community Champion.
With a wealth of experience gained from her extensive career in community work—both professionally and voluntarily—Marisa brings a diverse range of skills to our team. Her unwavering commitment to supporting both the young and the elderly in our community ensures that her work has a broad and meaningful impact. Marisa's ability to connect with individuals across generations makes her an integral part of our efforts to build a more inclusive and supportive community.
Ali has been an active volunteer with us since the launch of our Food Bank in March 2020, contributing in various capacities both directly with service users and behind the scenes in the office.
With over16 years of experience in education, Ali has developed a deep understanding of working with young people and supporting their development. This, combined with her extensive involvement with the Girl Guiding movement, brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to our team. Her experience in creating inclusive, engaging environments and her passion for supporting others make her an invaluable asset to our organisation and the community we serve.
Phoebe has worked in and around the Springbank area for a number of years in a variety of roles supporting young people, giving her a strong connection to and understanding of the community.
As a professionally qualified youth worker, Phoebe brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Springbank Community Group CiC. While currently based in Manchester, where she delivers a range of impactful community projects, Phoebe remains deeply involved with the organisation. She plays a key role in supporting its strategic development, using her skills and knowledge to help us grow and adapt to meet the evolving needs of our community.
