Community Cafe

As a Community Interest Company, Springbank Community Group CiC is invested in the community that we serve. With this in mind, our Community Cafe opened its doors on 12th April 2021 in the Ron Smith Pavilion, Springfields Park, alongside our Community Food Pantry. Below you will find out what our Community Cafe has to offer, however if you are in the area we invite you to call in and enjoy our range of hot and cold drinks and home baked cakes.

Our Community Cafe is ran entirely by volunteers from the community. Community supporting community is the foundation of everything we do at Springbank Community Group CiC. The money that is made through our sales in the cafe directly supports our other community projects, as well as ensuring the cafe continues to bring you the best possible food and drink at the most affordable prices.

Our Community Cafe offers a meeting place for a number of our projects including our Nanas and Pops group which meets every other Wednesday and our Knit and Knatter group which meets weekly. Our cafe also hosts the weekly 'Our Place' coffee morning, as well as our own Autism Support Coffee Morning on each Monday.

Cafe

Our cafe offers a range of hot and cold drinks, as well as homemade cakes, fresh sandwiches, cooked food and ice creams.

We offer both an eat in and takeaway service. For those of you that wish to stay, you can enjoy your food and drink in our indoor seating area, or outside in our Community Garden. If you wish to take away, your food and drink will be placed into compostable containers for you to enjoy when you are ready

We offer a loyalty scheme for all our customers, offering a free drink for every five drinks purchased. In addition to this our Community Pantry members receive 20% discount on all purchases and for anybody using a reusable mug a 20% discount is also applied.

External Catering

Our Community Cafe is able to offer a range of external catering options to local individuals and organisations.

We know that catering for an event can be both time consuming and stressful, so leave that to us. We will work with you to design a package that best suits the event that you are putting on. From buffets to cake and everything inbetween, you can rest assured that your guests will enjoy the food you offer them and that nobody will be left hungry.

We are experienced in dealing with complex dietary needs and will work with you and your guests to ensure that everybody can be catered for.

Recently we have supplied catering to both Gloucestershire Police and Gloucestershire NHS for training events.

In addition to catering for events, we have recently partnered with a number of local vendors and now supply both cakes and biscuits to them for them to sell alongside their hot drinks at their outlets.

Celebration Cakes

Are you celebrating? Do you need a cake? If you do, then look no further. Our baker Faith is incredibly talented and her cakes speak for themselves.

We will work with you to create the celebration cake that you want. Faith is able to take your ideas and create them into edible masterpieces for your special event.

Treat Boxes

All of our homemade cakes are able to be boxed into treat boxes. Our treat boxes make the ideal presents for both children and adults alike.

You are able to choose what goes into your treat box to make this a truly unique gift.
