Community Food Pantry

At the heart of our mission to fight food poverty is the Springbank Community Food Pantry. This initiative is a lifeline for individuals and families in our area who are facing food insecurity. Our pantry provides access to nutritious food in a welcoming, non-judgemental environment, helping to ease the burden on those who need support.

The food pantry operates on a simple principle: ensuring everyone in our community has access to the essentials they need to thrive. Stocked with donated and surplus food from local businesses, charities, and individual supporters, it offers a variety of fresh, canned, and packaged goods to suit different needs.

For just £4 per weekly visit, pantry members can take home a selection of store cupboard staples, a protein item, a dairy product, bread (when available), and toiletries. This affordable, membership-style approach promotes dignity and choice while also helping to reduce food waste by redistributing surplus items.

The pantry is not just about providing food—it’s about creating a space where people feel supported and connected. Visitors can also find information about additional support services, learn about budgeting and healthy eating, and engage with other community members.

Our dedicated volunteers and staff work tirelessly to keep the pantry running smoothly. By collaborating with local businesses, organisations, and residents, we ensure that the pantry remains a reliable resource for those who need it most.

The Springbank Community Food Pantry is more than just a service; it’s a symbol of our commitment to building a caring, resilient community. Whether you’re in need of support or looking to contribute, the pantry is here to help everyone in Springbank access the food and resources they need to live well.

Could your school run a good old fashioned can drive? Any collection, big or small, will make a huge difference to supporting those that need it most, right here in our community.
